Scrap Fest Countdown

I haven't done this in a while. Today is the 12th and that means I'm leaving for MOA in 3 months! I thought I would share a card with you that I made after my first ScrapFest.

After the trip, I printed the pictures as a contact sheet. This card is 5 x 7.
Here's a link to more pictures from ScrapFest.

ScrapFest shared....

Archivers has a annual Scrap Fest at Mall of America early in September. For two years in a row, my scrapping friends and I went and it became a reunion for us. That Scrapbook group(called G.I.R.L.S.), for those of you who are new to this blog, met in Augusta several years ago on a WEEKLY basis. One by one the members moved away. We created a Yahoo group so that we could still meet on and share our projects on a regular basis. Several of us we made it a point to get together at Scrapfest in 2004 amd 2005. Last year and this year I didn't go because the ScrapFest fell on my son's birthday. Staci did get to go this year and decided to share it with me for my birthday. I was very touched (again) by her thoughtfulness. So here is what she brought me back from Scrap Fest. I love Staci's handwriting. She is so precise and meticulous. She wrote notes on each thing describing the who and what.

Right in the middle of this picture is the Bazzill Trio she gave me. It is my favorite trio and I was almost out! Very timely and thoughtful.

These coordinating papers and buttons are left over from a Making Memories class she took. I started to make cards with them and I have made several card fronts already.

Click here to take you back to an earlier post I did this year with Scrapfest pictures

Get ready G.I.R.L.S., next year we are back ON for ScrapFest!

About Staci...

My brain just kicked in... ( my kids say I'm random, but if I don't do it as it pops into my head, it doesn't get done)

This is the most recent picture I have of Staci.

When I talk about someone on this blog, I usually post a link to their blog if they have one. Staci should have one, but she doesn't. However she is Misermom on Splitcoast and has an awesome gallery. I did go in and edit yesterday's post to include a link to her Splitcoast Gallery. She is a member of the Rubber Stamper Design team so you should see more of her work in the coming months. You probably have seen her stuff in publications. She has a whole page in the latest Take Ten. I frequently refer to her as genius. ( I taught her everything she knows...jk)

I met Staci when she moved into my neighborhood in Georgia, 8 years ago? Nine years? (Do you know Staci?) We stamped and scrapped together every Friday night when she joined us shortly after Karen, Debbie and I started G.I.R.L.S. ( Gathering for Inspiration, Rejuvenation, and the Love of Scrapbooking)

This is L-R, Staci, Me, Karen, and Debbie at MOA Scrapfest 2005. ( Mall of America Scrapbook Festival, hosted by Archivers)

This one was taken at Scrapfest 2004 with "our" Tim.Who cares that I was having a bad hair weekend? We took a Tim class and had our picture taken with Tim.

I really should be cleaning....
