It's Blogiversary time! Sound like a Party?

Today marks 3 years of blogging for me, both here at The Card Castle and before that over on Yahoo's 360. Coincidentally, today's Bible Verse of the Day powered by Bible Gateway says(there is a widget on the blog if you read this thru a reader or feed)

"Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” (Psalm 95:1-2) "

Doesn't that sound like a celebration? I love to sing for joy to the LORD... in a purple dress...

Last year for my Blogiversary, I did a big post about all the things I'm thankful for and gave away a couple of prizes and all that. As much as I'd like to I don't have the time and energy for all that right now. I do thank you all the time how much I really appreciate the encouraging comments and emails that you send me. And I really mean that. I'm honored to know that you continue to read what I have to say. Oh and you like my cards... that's always a plus and a boost to my ego:) Here is where I would insert a bunch of Smileys... I do miss the Smileys from Yahoo 360! I'm going to look into getting something like that here somehow...
Anyhow, this year's celebration will consist of you giving me a present. You know, just like a real party. Here's what I need for you to do. Leave me a comment or send an email letting me know at least one thing you've appreciated about this blog over the last year. That's the present!

I'm going to take a conscious break from blogging until after Thanksgiving-- with one or two exceptions. I'm going to participate in the Salt Challenge this time. I really like what those ladies are trying to do and I want to support their efforts. I'll also do a quick post to link to my cards on Hero Arts as I've promised. I'll have a card of the week soon and we are doing another Web Artist Week next week and I did a really cool project complete with template that they'll show. In my opinion, The Hero Club Blog should be one that you check out everyday anyway. There is amazing, amazing talent over there. Let me just tell you, if you don't already, add it to your list of daily stops online.
What am I going to be doing? Besides cleaning out a couple of rooms that we haven't done anything with since we got here, and normal homemaker stuff, I'll be taking the time to pop in and comment on your blog. I don't take enough time to do that as often as I would like to. And I still have to take pictures of all the Birthday cards I received. I like displaying them on my blog if you don't mind... eventually. I had to laugh, but I received a card last week. That is so like me. Better late than never. I live and die by that motto!

So that's it for me... So, what are you waiting for? Where's my present? ;)

Wow, there's so much about your blog that I like, it will be hard to limit the comments. One thing I appreciate about your blog is that we get to see all (or a lot!) of sides of you: the artist, the mother, the patient, the wife, the princess, and the witness. You continue to be an inspiration in all of those areas, and I appreciate your willingness to share!

Just popped in from Gingerwood (I'm CaliMom there). Happy Blogiversary! I always enjoy your creativity, but especially appreciate your never-give-up outlook and your walk in faith.
Thanks for sharing -- I think a great blog like yours must be a lot of work!

Happy Blogiversary! Your present could be I could break out in song...OR...some think the gift is my NOT breaking out in song. Perhaps we could divide this into practical parts: you sing for joy and I'll do the shouting but either way we'll celebrate together.

Happy Blogaversary, Jacki! I have to tell you what I appreciate about YOU first -- when I first started my blog you were one person who was so willing to help me and answer questions I might have. You might not even remember that, but I do! So thanks:)
The things I like about your blog are everything that you open yourself up to share -- your creativity, your personal stuff, your spiritual side. Not everyone can do that as effectively as you do. Keep up the good work!

"One thing I have appreciated about your BLOG over the last year" ...Oh! You also said "at least". Whew. Only one is impossible.
I appreciate YOU; your witness, your call to pray, your talent, impowerment, (I have bought a lot of "stuff" because you use it so well - and I dream that I can), movie recommendations, family stories that many of us can relate to, your call to "choose JOY". I could go on but it seems overkill. I can't wait to read your blog to find out what is going on and to see your awesome creations. So......
HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY!

Hi Jacki!

Happy Blog-iversary! I love reading your blog. I love that it isn't only stamping related. I love that I get a glimpse of your family (and get to see their gorgeous faces) and that you share some of your life with us. Your cards are wonderful and I love seeing what you're up to.

I also love that I've gotten to know you better this past year - through emails, your blog, and sharing products with you!

Thanks for being you!

Glad to hear you are taking some time off for yourself. That's a very good thing. Secondly, what I like most about your blog is YOU!!! That's right. Your blog wouldn't be without you, so I'm thankful for you Jacki...I'm thankful for your friendship, I'm thankful for your positive attitude in all things--good or bad--, and I'm thankful you are my sister-in-Christ!

Hugs,

I love visiting your blog and getting the updates in my email. Your creativity, your sensitivity, your "humanness" is so refreshing. You are a real person with real issues and real ambitions. It's so nice to hear about your family and share in the celebrations you post the pictures about. I live so far away from my family that I only get to see them every three or four years and I miss so many great things.

One thing ~ hmm. I'll have to settle on giving you hugs for always finding the joy even when you're ailing. And you can do it with a husband & 5 kids tagging along! You top it off with gorgeous art and a truly beautiful spirit. Happy blogiversary and a very Happy Thanksgiving, Jacki.

What do I love about Jacki's blog.... let me count the ways!! LOL! I love that you are a spiritual woman and you wear it in all avenues of life! I love that you are so generous with your compliments. I love, of course, your card creations - you have an amazing way with color and you have inspired me countless times!!! And lastly, even though we only know eachother here in blogland, I am proud to call you friend! You are such a sweet and sincere woman!!

It's hard to limit it to just one thing. I love your candor, your patience, your generosity, your humor, your self-deprecation, your honesty and your courage. But what popped into my mind first is your gentle optimism. There are days when you have inspired me to quit my whining and count my blessings. One of them is "knowing" you!

Congratulations! Enjoy your break.

I suppose it would be tacky to just say "what Monica said," but she did say it very well...

So, I'll just say thanks for being a blessing in your blogging!
