Birthday Hats

Here are a couple more birthday cards I made as a result of retrieving some forgotten images in my "colored image stash". I think I started coloring these hats in an attempt to make Mother's day cards last spring. Since that didn't happen, they became birthday cards in the fall.

I finally finished it! Once again, I'm extending the celebration. (smile) Her birthday is today. Hopefully the mailman will have it by tomorrow.

The finished card is an 8.5 x 5.5 gate fold card with plenty of room inside for the whole family to sign.

I don't know what to call this card. It is a good result of last weekend's fiasco with the "Ugly" card. The Good the Bad and the Ugly. It was really unfair of me to call that card ugly. It wasn't ugly, but it just wasn't working for me. I was frustrated because I spent a lot of time trying to make it work before I gave up on it and took it apart.

I used the main image with a different color scheme as a fix. I used that unwanted background to create this monochromatic birthday card.
