I just noticed that this is my 500th post here on The Card Castle! Wow! I'm thinking I need to give away a prize or something... Let me talk about a couple of other things and then I will tell you about it.
I want to mention that I never expected this blog to be anything but a way for me to communicate with my girlfriends and show them what I was doing since we all started moving away. I'm happy to still see most of them here along with all my new friends.
Speaking of new friends, I received this Fuchsia stamp in the mail from one of my Gingerwood Friends last week. I made two other cards with this stamp too that I intended to include in the post. Right now, they are MIA. I'm pretty sure I set them aside( in a safe place, no doubt) so that when the light was perfect, I could photograph them. Of course when the light was right, I couldn't find them. And that was yesterday! Today, I still can't find them!
Oh well, that'll give me something to post about when I do find them. But, let's get back to the generous Gingerwoodie, Martha. What a generous and sweet lady. She said wanted to bless me with something and that she did. She also included with the stamp, some flowers and ribbon embellishments. I'm honored! She sells stamping supplies on Ebay. I know that she has a few sets of Nestablities on right now if you are in the market. THANKS, Martha!!!!
At least some things go right... OOOH, you'd be so proud of me. At least I was... very proud of me! On Monday morning, I went to the post office with not only my niece's card (EARLY! Her birthday isn't until next week), but I also mailed 4 Mother's day gifts, ON TIME! wohoo!!
On a Personal Note:
My daughter did a beautiful job with her solo last night. She has a gift. I wish I knew how to transfer that video to a digital video so that I could post it. Actually she would kill me if I did that. ( I need to decide if I'm scared of her or not) She is an understudy so she got to perform last night for Parents Night. The next three nights she'll just be in the dance numbers. It was 3 hours long, including the intermission. Can we say late night = tired??
Happy 500th to ME!
So 500 posts calls for a prize or two, don't you think? In honor of my new job with Hero Arts, if you leave me comment (ON THIS POST) before midnight Saturday night (May 10), one person will be selected randomly. That person will receive one of the new Hero Arts Sparkle Clear Little Letters sets-- or any of the other Sparkle Clear Mini Sets. View either of the catalogs here. You'll choose it and I'll order it and have it sent to you. The comment must include a way for me to contact you or you must email me as soon as the contest is over. You must respond with your mailing address by Tuesday or I'll choose another winner.
And for the second prize, you don't have to do anything. If you've ever left a comment on this blog, you are eligible. I'm also going to choose a winner from one of the commenters from posts 1-499. Actually I'll employ my random number generator to do the honors. That person will receive any one of the Clear Design sets that retail for around $15.00. Again, I'll contact you and you get to choose.
EDITED TO Clarify: If you choose to post as Anonymous. Please make sure you sign your name and/or leave me a way to contact you. Since I'm moderating comments anyway, I'm not going to post the ones that don't have that information.
Off to do something more productive. I hope you have a blessed day today! Choosing JOY, Jacki

Congratulations, Jacki on the success of your blog; I love coming here and also checking out your work on the Hero Arts website. So wonderful about your daughter's performance; I'll bet you sound awesome singing as a family. Have a wonderful day!
Jacki, do you mean 500 posts on this blog alone? (I had also followed "From a Joyful Heart" when you had both.) That's a LOT of posts! It's so easy to fall behind and that makes me crazy.
Here's to another 500 Purple Posts!
Best Wishes,
Mary
Your blog and that fuschia card are amazing!

Way to go! I'm so glad I found your blog - love your cards! (You'll have to hook up with Holly and come to Greenville SC to the convention in September - that's where I first met Holly and I was very jealous of your stamping play day!) Thanks for posting and sharing!!
