Hello Friend

Tulips({Retired}Hero Arts), Whimsical Messages and Borders (Hero Arts), Background Swirl(Inkadinkado)
Other, Prismacolor Pencils, Cloud Paper Edgers, Coluzzle

This is the last of the 4 entries I submitted for the Paper Crafts Idol contest. I really like how this one turned out... I'm not sure if it's because of my favorite color (which is purple by the way... tee hee hee) or the tulips, my favorite flower, or just the unusual layout. Anyway, I love this card and I'm going to send it to a special friend. I won't mention who so just in case she's reading this before it arrives.
On a Personal Note:
When I left you yesterday, I mentioned that I was going to take it easy all day and take a nap for starters. Do you think I actually did that? Of course not. I know how, contrary to what you might think, but my life just won't slow down because I wish that it would. Jannelle had to call in to work and usually they don't need her, but they did today. Since I had to shift gears and suddenly put on appropriate clothing to leave the house, I figured that I would go ahead and get some groceries. The Dog ran out if food yesterday, and had nothing for today. I made a mental note last week when I noticed that it was getting low, but somehow that note got mixed up and hidden somewhere in the part of my mind that was planning a family reunion and a drive to NC. While I was going to the store, I figured I would go ahead and get groceries. When I buy groceries, I have to come home and clean the refrigerator, because there was no room for the new food with all the half filled containers of old leftovers. So, Exhausted is not a state I'm going to be able to rest up from in one day. I did manage to sit down and read after all that was done.
... and I went to bed fairly early. I'll work on some more card making and sending today...hopefully. I should know better than to state my plans for the day on this blog, because something happens and it always changes...

The card is beautiful. Hope you can shift your gears into neutral for a day and get some rest. Sit down with a nice cold iced tea or lemonade and just contemplate nature.

How long has it been since your surgery? I know you will take it easy today because you are one smart lady! Gorgeous card. Have a lovely, lazy day!

marciad, The tea or lemonade along with sitting sound divine. I'm going to need an accomplice to get some rest. Unplanned things are constantly coming up and somebody has to do it. Loni, it's been 3 months since my surgery. I'm probably exhausted from the traveling and not sleeping for a week because of it. I'll eventually get caught up.

Jacki, you're going about things all wrong. You need to declare that you are going to work, work, work and not take a break for any reason at all.

The next day will be a breeze. :-)

Really, really nice card!

The card is beautiful (but then, I also LOVE purple). And can I just say how much I enjoy your blog? You are one of those people who I think of as an "online" friend even though you have no idea who I am! LOL
