Heartfelt Tulips
I love tulips, but I haven't seen any yet this spring! I've seen daffodils so I know the tulips are coming. So starting with yesterday's card, I'm doing tulip cards until I see them in real life.
These tulips(Hero Arts) belong to one of the first stamp sets I purchased back when ALL my stamps fit into a shoe box. LOL! FYI, that was 1999. It is still one of my favorite tulip stamps. Back in those days, I was in my marker period. I couldn't remember ever coloring this image with color pencils, so it was time to bring it back out and do just that! There are only three tulips on the stamp so I stamped it a total of three times. The first two images were used intact, but for third image, I cut out only one of the tulips and stuck it right up front. After it was colored and cut it out, I used double stick tape runner and pop dots to attach it to the front of the card.
The bushel basket barrel thingy was stamped on tan card stock with black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I borrowed that stamp from my friend Debbie (and returned it years ago) so I'm not sure who the maker is.
The card is a pre-made tag shaped card. The only thing I did to it was stamped the word Heartfelt from that clear set I love called Heartfelt Messages also from Hero Arts.

You did a lovely job coloring and cutting out the tulips. It really does make me think of spring; however, in SW FL, it's spring/summer every day!! Have a wonderful day.
What a beautiful card!! Your coloring on those tulips is fabulous! I like how you arranged them - looks like a real bouquet :)
LOVE this card. Now go make it into a red theme and it will count for today's challenge. LOL...gosh this is going to be one of my all time favorite cards...I love it.
Jacki, this is absolutely stunning. I think this would be in my top five list of Jacki cards. The colors are awesome. Beautiful, beautiful!!!
You are rollin'! Your tulips are terrific! Love these pink ones, especially how you made them a bouquet. Saw a few green sprouts where some daffodils should pop up as I walked along my garden last evening. There is hope; until they arrive, there is Jacki! Thanks!
This is really spectacular! WOW!
Awesome work here!
Funny, I borrowed that same bushel basket stamp on the same day and used it to make a scrap page about the Peach Stand we went to in S. Carolina...remember at all? :)
Simply GORGEOUS! Your work is awesome! TFS.
Gorgeous card! I always love your coloring (I want to color like you when I grow up!) :)
By the way, great description on the "bushel basket barrel thingy" - that's how I describe things!
Thanks for the compliments everybody.
Staci, I do remember that!
Jayne that bushel barrel basket thingy description was just for you!
And anonymous, if you're going to leave comments where you gloat about the weather in Florida, the least you can do is leave you name so that we will know who to hate! LOL
What a beautiful card! I love how you've captured the softness of the tulips with your coloring -- just beautiful!
I'm new to your blog and also wanted to tell you how inspiring I find it...ALL of it! ;)
