Wishes for a Wonderful Day

I inquired and found out that these stamps are recently retired from the Angel Company.

Stamps: (The Angel Company)

Card stock: white linen texture

Coloring Medium: Prismacolor Pencils
Other: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Stylized Flowers and Swiss Dots( Provo Craft), Tag punch, Button Brad(Making Memories)

I embossed this white linen card stock and then on the debossed side, I inked it with Distress Inks.

There's a LONG story behind this card.

This card was made for Micah. I mentioned that I met a young lady and I would talk about it after getting her permission so show her pictures. I'm assuming she's received this card by now so I can show it to you.

We met on a very cold January night in GA. Don't laugh, it was really cold that night-- 17 degrees and windy. My husband and I were out running an errand w/o kids. I don't remember what we were doing, but it's rare that we both go out w/o kids. Anyway, since we were near there, I had him stop at Michaels so that I could run in and see if anyone had signed up for my classes. I was in the store less than 5 minutes, but as we left, she came up to us asking for help getting her car started. We tried to give her a jump and to get her car started and my husband stood out there with her in that unusually cold and windy weather. Her husband couldn't come and help her because he was at home with her two babies and she had the car seats. To make it even more complicated, she didn't really need a jump, she just hadn't put the car in park before she turned it off. This chance meeting was totally orchestrated by the Lord. After we got her going, she said she felt like the Lord had send us her way. We talked more and realized that we go to the same church. After that night I thought about her once or twice, but I mainly because we were glad that we "just happened" to be in that area and was able to give her the help she needed and I wondered how she was doing.

Let's interrupt his long story for some more pictures.

Aren't they adorable???

A few weeks later she tracked us down at church and hand delivered a letter. After reading her letter, I knew that there was more of a reason for us to have met than was evident that night. Just the night before she gave use this letter, I was playing around on Blogger and decided to delete that blog I created for my pregnancy last year. I had my finger on the Delete this Blog button and couldn't do it. After reading her letter I realized why I couldn't. It turns out that Micah was grieving because she too had an miscarriage just a before we met. I pointed her to that blog and the Lord chose to use my story and experience to minister to her. She was so convinced that the Lord brought us together, that she asked me to mentor her when we were at the mall. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better.

The Lord works in ways we don't understand at the time. I'm so glad that He put you in her path that cold night!

What a gorgeous card and what a special meeting---you were an angel to her and I feel both of your pain (having lost my son when he was nine hours old).

Hugs!
