Whew!

To God be the Glory

I'm so glad that meeting is over. We have a plan. I used the word confront yesterday, but thanks to God thru the advice of Amy and Deb, the focus of the meeting in my mind shifted from the teachers failure (I know that's a pretty harsh word, but that's how I felt) to my son's success.
I also talked to two of my life long "sister friends" in the last couple of days --one of them is a teacher and the other a school counselor-- and I felt like God gave me everything I needed to complete this meeting with grace.

Although the teacher decided that we needed the vice principal involved, having him there worked in my favor. I initiated a meeting early in September and I thought at the time that we had a plan. But after that meeting, nothing was done differently as far as I could see. There was no communication on her part. We talked extensively last week and she sensed hesitation on my part at her new plan, because, basically I was wondering if I could count on her to do what she said. We addressed the fact that good communication should have been established much sooner than it was. I do believe that the VP will help to monitor things and I don't think communication will be an issue again. She/we decided that email was the best way to communicate. We all know that I'm never on the computer (wink).

We are going to figure this thing out, my baby is going to be ok. Pray for him as we all work together to figure out what works for him. It ain't over, but I feel like we are on a track to success, finally.

Oh my goodness, I was never more sure that God was with me and I am soooo grateful for your prayers and concern. I felt that too!
Remember that frustrated post from a couple of weeks ago. I got an email after that from Deb. She the Gingerwoodie on the prayer list about the job situation and she reads this blog. She has encouraged me many times thru comments and emails as a result of this blog. This time she offered help along with her encouragement. She's a teacher and has experience working with kids who are having trouble in school. We talked for a long time last night and I enjoyed the opportunity to get to know her. Not only did she give me some tips and suggestions to help him, but she gave me advice on how to handle this meeting. Isn't God good. This isn't the only time He's used a Gingerwoodie to bless me. I'm overwhelmed.
And then there was Amy. I didn't even know that Amy has ever seen my blog, but her comment yesterday was inspiring. I love seeing God work. Don't hesitate if you feel God telling you to say something or do something. Never under estimate your "small" part in someone else's blessing.
We know that God loves us, and is concerned about every facet of our lives.

Romans 8:28 (New International Version) More Than Conquerors
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose.

I'm headed to the school to do some copying and laminating for his gifted program teacher.

Romans 8:28 is my one of my life verses! I pray that everything works out and I have faith that it will. I sure do enjoy your blog and I wanted to tell you it is a blessing to me.

I swear I can hear a choir singing the Hallelujah chorus right now...

So glad that it went well and that things are back on track. And I'm glad that we serve a Loving God who works everything out...

This is so good to hear, Jacki! How faithful God is, and how good to hear you trusting Him and listening to Him, through the Holy Spirit, and the lovely counsel you've received from others!

How wonderful God sent these individuals in to help you.

If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!
Ecclesiastes 4:10 NIV

Keeping you and your son in my prayers.

Yippee! I'm so thankful to hear that all went well Jacki! God is faithful and saw you through! I love that Romans verse. We studied Romans last year in BSF, and that was "our" verse! I'm also thankful I could help. Like I said, my blog friends helped me through rough times (they still are actually:)), so I felt compelled to pass on the support! God bless! Your son will be just fine with a mother that cares for him so much.

hugs,
Amy

Go God!!! Jacki, I am so happy for you and for your son. Isn't it wonderful when you can feel God taking over in a situation? I so enjoyed talking with you the other night. A friendship of faith is truly a good one :) and the stamping helps, too! We serve a faithful God, who is never so far removed from us that He doesn't care about the details of our lives.
