You Make me Smile

This post is brought to you by the letter H. LOL!
I just realized that all of the stamps used on the card are from companies that start with H.
Hambo for the book genres stamp which is a retiring stamp, FYI. You may recognize Bookworm Hanna from Hanna Stamps. I've used that one before. And YOU make me smile is one of my favorite Hero Arts stamps. The paper is from Basic Grey ( Urban Prairie). I scored it on my latest trip to Archivers. I love going to that store-- especially when I meet fun people. Dawn met me there and then we had lunch. I also met -- in person-- Susanna Boyd who runs Paper Craft Planet!!

For those of you who come looking for card making inspiration, I'm sorry, I've not been up to my 'normal'. I promised myself that I wouldn't make blogging another chore in my life. Lord knows I have enough of those. I've just been really busy doing a lot of other things in addition to not feeling creative lately. I did manage to color a few things in the last couple of days so when the mood hits me to make a card from it, I'll post it and show you. I do have a few creative projects that I need to finish in between the other stuff I'm doing.
I guess I'm apologizing in a way for not blogging as much, but I don't think I'll be up to my 7.9 posts a week average as I have been in the past for at least a few more weeks. I'm also hoping to get off this medicine that I'm taking for my tendinitis soon. I think it affects my mood. It's not supposed to be one of the side effects, but if you know me, I tend to be different from the 'norm' in most things.
Besides family and health stuff, I've been reading. I actually set a goal for myself to read 40 books this year. Right now my pile of books is way bigger than Bookworm Hanna in the card above.

I hope you are well. I'm hoping to do some blog surfing later today to see what every body else is up to. Choosing joy! Jacki!!!

P.S. Do you have snow where you are?

Hey darlin', you're right where you're s'posed to be. We miss you but you were not put on this earth to entertain and/or enlighten us. You're just part of the icing on top! We miss you because you blogged and emailed you way into our hearts but we'll get over it while you do what you need to do for yourself. You deserve to be feeling better and you will be soon enough. Read and rest and the Muse will return when she's good and ready.

Sandie, I'll do a post soon with all the books I've read recently. I started it a while back and never got around to finishing it. I like many different types of books so I'm sure there will be something you might me interested in. And likewise, I'd like to know if you come across a book that is really awesome... Linda, thanks for the compliment on my card.
and Loni, you are such and encourager. I LOVE that about you! I would blog every day if you'd promise to say such nice things about me lol :)

Yes, I have snow where I am. Why? Do you want some? ;)
Your card is great! I might need some stamped images of that book stack girl for my DD#1. Perfect for her. I'm trying to read more lately, too. My book shelves look like your stack!

I got this car last spring with a CD player and whenever it's not s-n-o-w-i-n-g, I drive it to work. You are with me on every trip. Even if you're not inspiring me card-wise, you and Mr. J are helping my mood tremendously. I haven't been too much into my stamping or calligraphy lately. We have lots of s-n-o-w. We're about 3 FEET above our average normal ANNUAL total and we still have weeks of winter left. Think you got out of the mitten just in time. LOVE this card! Your coloring is awesome and that paper is sweet. Actually went to the library last week and I am on my
2nd book. I am (at times) a voracious reader. I like mysteries. Stay warm and well and keep doing whatever is best for you and yours.

NOOOO! Staci, I do not want your snow. I was just wondering.... I'll sent some images for your daughter, I have other things to send to you too... soon.

Nise! feet above. I am so thankful that I'm not there. I would have been stuck in the house all winter, because I tried my best to stay in when there was lots of snow on the grown. As a matter of fact, I haven't worn boots in 2 years... That was a good move for me.
I'm glad we are helping your mood. Maybe someday soon we'll do another one.

I am going to second what loni.sue said ... while I love your creations and your blog and look forward to them, no need to stress over something like this. Take care of yourself and your family and all other things will fall into place as they should.
