Christmas Break!

I'm looking forward to it and dreading it all at the same time.
*Everybody is home... that's a plus.
*I love having all my offspring around (some of them can't be called kids anymore).
*They have 5 very different personalities. ( I just threw that in there... let's just call that a positive.)
*It's really a blessing to know that they like being here.
*Christmas break means I don't have to be on someone else's schedule for a little while.
*I don't have to get up at 6:00 am.
*Even with all the stuff, I love Christmas time. I love presenting Christmas gifts.... especially the handcrafted ones. Speaking of...

I just got home from The Other Boy's 5th grade party. We are allowed to check them out when the party is done so he's here with me. I made gifts for some of his teachers this year. I completely finished two of them last night. Which isn't too bad if you consider that I started them in October and I had 6 to make. New Years gifts are good too, right? If you are listening closely, you are detecting a little sarcasm in my voice. Don't worry, I've already forgiven myself with all that I've had going on over the last couple of months, but I am going to finish the rest over the break at some point.

Here is the back section of the caddy.

This little divider thingy was made from the cover of the 6 x 6 paper pack( Basic Grey Scarlett Letter). I didn't glue it in just in case the teacher doesn't want to use it for pencils.

The inside of the notebook. The lined paper was created on the computer. For some reason, one of my daughters thought that was strange. Why didn't I just use some of this loose leaf paper we already have? Duh, because the lines are blue, I needed gray lines to match my notebook!

This is for a different teacher so different color scheme, but basically the same.

One of the teachers who will get one for New Years is a "boy" teacher. I'll have to try to man it up for him. I'm actually going to use a different caddy-- a larger one and make it more like a remote holder... I think. Any brilliant suggestions?

Those teacher gifts look AWESOME!!...even if they get there for New Year's =) I got one of my kids' teachers done and presented, but then school got cancelled due to snow so the others def. will be New Year's gifts, Lol. I really like your gifts--they're perfect for teachers! (or mothers, or daughters, or nieces, etc) :)
Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!x

Jacki, How clever! I think it's an awesome gift (wish I were one of your kids' teachers!) Love the two very different styles that you showed. :)

The caddy came from Hobby Lobby. I just saw their sales for the week and all unfinished craft wood is 30% off this week. FYI
