Quick Update...

I saw the doctor today, and he thinks I'm having migraines for sure. I really like this guy. Not only is he very thorough, he listens! He thinks the sinus issues may be at least one of the triggers. He gave me lots of suggestions and a couple of prescriptions. I'm having migraines frequently enough to be on a daily medicine. Soooo, now that that's done, I'm going to create something!

Edited to add: Oh and I guess technically I have a winner! Velda wasn't able to send me a picture ( and I really wanted to see it) but she says she was the 88,888th visitor. I also have two other ladies who sent me numbers with almost all 8's. Karen and Mary. Check your mailboxes in about a week.

Edited again:
Whine whine whine. Guess what? Velda had a picture for me after all. She had actually printed that screen so today she scanned it for me. (yeah!)

Karen sent me a counter earlier in the day with lots of 8s, but last night she was 88,887 and 88,889. Isn't that funny? That's why I have to send her something too. Well that and she's a terrific friend and the lady who gave me that original breakfast recipe in the Sunshine Casserole post over the weekend. So there you have it! It doesn't take much to excite me does it?

i like that the doctor can confirm that you are, in fact, having migraines.

it seems kinda like the adage, if a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it, does it still make a sound?

if you have a migraine and the doctor says you don't have it, is it still there?

haha!

i love you and hope to see you soon!

Jacki so sorry that migraines are troubling you, they are a nasty thing to deal with. I wish I had a rememdy for you but I have not found one that is reliable. I have had to really learn what each headache is being caused by and then determine what to do. And catching them early is key. I may see spots and know that in about 20 min. I would have a full blown migraine so then I would know to take the meds. Hot showers are good because the steam heat opens the blood vessels. and this is a hard one when you have a migraine but relaxation techniques like deep breathing or visualization can help ease it. Let me know if I can be of help!

Jacki, I'm glad to hear you found a doctor you trust. I hope his direction helps you. I get them from time time too. Not as frequently as I used to - I changed jobs. ;o) I've had various treatments.

I'm keeping you in my prayers.

Take care and STAY POSITIVE!

Hi Jacki! You really do understand the pain I was talking about if you are having migraines. Yikes! I hope the new meds are working well for you. Thanks for adding me to your prayer list! I will be praying for healing for you also. Feel better soon!

Thanks for all you do. I still check your site even though the 88888 is over. It was fun and your site has become a habit. I sincerely hope your migraines are under better control. I am praying for you. My husband had those and they were horrible. I am blessed in that I have medical problems with pain, but I don't have headaches. Everyone thinks I am weird.! I am blessed, I guess! Linda Crower
