This sweet and simple card is for my niece who is a homeowner for the first time... as of yesterday. How exciting! She has a townhouse. Her house is attached to another house on one side, but this card for her just features her little house.
My daughter looked at it and said and I quote," That's not your best." Sigh... I can't be perfect everyday... I get no respect around here...
The stamps are Paper Trey and the paper is Basic Grey. Colored with Prismacolor pencils of course.
On a personal note:
Tonight is the release party for Breaking Dawn the fourth and final book in the Twilight series. I'm as excited as the girls are. Maybe I'll take my camera and get pictures of all the crazy people like me/us. Maybe I'll do a couple of interviews too. (OK, I'm cracking myself up at this point). I'll probably be reading tomorrow, but I'll still post a card( and pictures). BUT, I promise no more complaining for a while. I hope I got it all out of my system yesterday. (smile)
One more thing before I go. Just to show you how disrespected I am around here. This was the conversation we had in the car on the way to the Open house last night.
Conversations:
Me: This is my last year in Elementary School, Yeah!! I'm finally growing up!
Mitch: You're happy about that? Usually people like you aren't happy about that because people call them old.
Me: I like my age. I don't feel old, I feel wiser!
Mitch: I didn't say anything about you feeling old, I said people will say you're old.
Me: (speechless)

Ouch. Kids say the darndest things, don't they? But you have a great outlook on life, and I for one appreciate it!
Hugs,
Amy
I think it is so cute! Your niece is going to love it!!!
out of the mouths of babes....yeah they can be brutally honest.
I think the card looks great and congrats to your niece many blessings in her new home!
Thank goodness those lovely children will soon be otherwise occupied. I think your card is darling and I bet your niece will be so excited because you're actually going to mail it to her at her new address, right?! Happy Weekend!
I have to agree with the consensus - I think the card looks great!
I like reminding people that age=wisdom! So, I'm smarter!
I love the card! I had that thought before I read the post! I think kids are not generally able to discern between "quality" and "personal preference."
Everyone's a critic! It takes a little *wisdom* to learn that sometimes one's opinion should remain in one's closed mouth. ROFL. I love that stamp and love your card.
Have a blast at the party tonight.
