Graduation Thanks

Since our family reunions are held once every two years, during the gathering in Pennsylvania last month, Jillana was presented with a graduation gift. (She graduated with the class of 2007). I just happened to have these Thank You cards left over from when I was made this card. That assignment was to use this DesignBlock Thank You to create a thank you card that a recent graduate could use. My first thought was do something quick, because chances are you'd need several. The card they chose for the website included her picture in the circle. As an alternative I also created these two which feature Jolee's graduation stickers. I haven't always been a fan of large stamps, but I really like the way the DesignBlock stamps cover the entire background. I've also learned to get good impressions with big stamps like this by leaving the inked stamp rubber side up on the desk stop and pressing the paper to it, instead of the other way around. She is sending her uncle this purple one... because she too likes purple. (but I don't think she likes it as much as I do.) I used Memories dye inks, Hero Art's cards, and circle punches.
