Purple Purse Thank You

I love this bag! It's a pretty good sized tote. My sister sent it to me a few months ago. I finally got the card made and handed over to my sister thanking her for it. Actually, this is my second attempt at a card. I wasn't feeling very creative over the weekend so the card is rather plain. As a matter of fact. I go thru this periodically-- the not feeling creative thing. If I didn't have a blog, or a job making cards, I wouldn't think twice about it. I would just go do something else. I do enjoy hearing from you in the form of comments and emails so I'll have to figure out a way to get my creative juices flowing. I also have some Hero Arts work to finish up so I'll need lots of creativity for that. The ladies over there are mega talented. I have to constantly remind myself not to be intimidated and just relax and do my personal best. I sound a little weak and needy today, don't I??

Saying on tag by Hero Arts. Purses and saying inside are GinaK Designs.

I'm cleaning my room again so that I can have space to be creative. I always make a big mess when I'm creating because I work on several things at once. While I'm in there, I'll drag out some stuff that evidently sparked creativity when I bought it (and subsequently put away never to be seen or used). Isn't that why we crafters constantly reorganize??

Do you believe in Miracles?
I don't know if this really qualified as an honest to goodness miracle, but I'm excited about it.
I just got back home from driving into Atlanta. We returned to GA State to retrieve my daughter's bag that she left behind last week-- totally intact. If you missed it last week and you want to read about it go to her blog.

By Friday, I had already resigned myself to the fact that those items we purchased when we were in a celebratory mode, were lost to us forever. Finders keepers and all that... Somebody "lucked" out. It was going to cost us $10 or $20, to replace her ID, but it's only money. We'll just have one less Pizza night, right? As far fetched as it sounds I still believed that the stuff would be returned to us. I told my daughter that when she lost it, the only people around were people like us-- orientation attenders-- and people that worked there... Surely there is at least one or two honest people still out there in the world. I know that if I had found the bag, I would have done everything in my power to find the owners, and I refuse to believe that I am the only one in this city that would do that. The weird thing is that her ID was in the bag, making it possible for that someone to find the owner. Otherwise, even someone with a good honest heart would have been at a loss. ( I say weird because she is usually disciplined and careful. She says that as she put the ID in the bag, she knew it wasn't a good idea, but we were tired and she figured she would fix it in the car.) She received an email on Friday night and called this morning to make arrangements to pick it up. All I know is I'm thankful that that little episode is over and she's a happy camper. Now, wouldn't it be nice if everything in my life right now would work out so easily...

Hey, have a happy Monday, OK? I'm going to head back into my workshop to create something! well... maybe after I get a nap....

Love your purple purse and also the card. Glad everything turned out with your DD and her ID etc.
Can you believe my DD is in the top 20 for the contest. I am so excitied about it. Did you know that it was both of us pushing her that got her there in the first place! Awesome, and thanks Jackie for your push shove along with mine. LOL Pat

I love this card! Very, very clever to use the spiral clip to match the swirls in the stamped image. Love the colors used too. So glad to hear that your daughter's purse was found. So scary to loose your purse and ID. I lost my engagement ring when I was in college (and it was a family heirloom in my fiance's family) and was totally sick about it. Someone called the next week, though, and found it. It had been run over by a bike or car, but it was repairable and intact. The person would not accept a reward; I couldn't believe that the ring was back on my finger. I considered that person and the ring's recovery a miracle.

In all sincerity, Jacki - your wonderful cards and you yourself are an inspiration to create. I love your style! This purse card is perfect in its simplicity. GinaK has some great stamps- I'll have to get some. Some time ago I left my purse in a shopping cart at Wal-Mart, in the parking lot. I called the store; someone had turned it in! The $600 was still in it. Indeed, there are honest people in our world still.....

What a great purse! So glad Jillana got some really good stuff out of the lost bag episode. Hope that your creativity comes back soon. I have times like this, too. I channel my energy into pulling weeds or shoveling
s-n-o-w, depending on the season. Still accomplishing something that sorta looks better. Happy July!
