Hi Friends,
I'm in the process of applying for a teaching position with My Creative Classroom. One of the things I have to give them is a list of with 3 potential class ideas. Of course, I intend to teach my color pencil classes but I don't know what else people would be interested in learning from me.
So here's where you can help by answering the following question for me? If you were going to take a class from me, what would you like to learn from me? Leave me a comment or send me an email, whichever you are most comfortable with.
I'm resting again today, but I have a really cool card to show. The problem is my camera is may be in the basement and I'm upstairs on my daughter's laptop. Maybe later?

Wow, Jacki, I just visited that link and had no idea this existed. I would LOVE to take several colored pencil classes. I consider myself still a "beginner" in paper arts, so there are a lot of things I'd take a class in: how to use pearl ex, making cards and scrapbook layouts with the cuttlebug, watercolor, using twinkling H2O's (this is new to me), using alcohol inks (creating backgrounds), unique folding cards using a scor-pal, and my list goes on and on. Not sure if this helps; I sure hope you get to teach and share your talent and expertise.
How about creating card backgrounds using different techniques? One thing I really enjoy about your cards and struggle with myself is background.
HTH
Blessings!
Jacki, How about some techniques classes?? Also some dry embossing with folders and by hand. hth
how to be awesome in three easy steps.
Hi, Jacki.
I like Beth's idea: "How to be awesome in 3 easy steps." You'd be perfect to teach that!
My "need to know" is how to design the card. You have told us that you color images whenever and wherever you can, so is that your beginning point? Or does the paper, or the layout come first?
You are a great designer. I would love to take a class from you on how to put it all together so beautifully.
Hmmm... I think you have some good suggestions already. How about an overview of coloring mediums (1 class each on markers, watercolors, etc.) and altering containers with alcohol inks (glass or metal). I also like the idea of a "Build Your Stash" type class like you were doing at Michael's - perhaps two simple designs at each class that could easily be mass produced.
I'm sure you've already decided what you're gonna teach in your class...being that you're so creative and all :-). But I have one for you to add. How bout, "Inspirational wording for Thank You cards for Soccer coaches"? LOL
Sorry...Love ya!
so, you didn't like my ideas? for your soccer coach? hmmm, I thought they were genius! haha
