From the Heart Bloom

What do you know? I just realized that I had this card uploaded but not posted. It's not really a great picture, but it'll have to do for now. I stamped and embossed this background the same way I did this card. stamped with Versamark, clear embossing powder. And if that wasn't enough embossing, I embossed it with the Thanks Cuttlebug embossing folder. The stamps are Hero Arts. The flower is called Designer Blossom and the saying is from a set I really like called From The Heart Greetings. I originally noticed that set just because one of the stamps says "create joy". I'm going to use that set to create a set of all occasion cards to give as a gift.

On a personal note:
I'm feeling pretty good! I've been sitting in my glider rocker and admiring my view and blog surfing all day. My daughter and her computer are leaving soon, so I won't be on the Internet for a few days. I don't think my mom is going to let me do steps for at least that long. I'll miss checking the boards and blogs even more than I miss blogging. Hey, but let me show you what I'm going to be stuck looking at ...

I sent Jillana down to get a picture from the back porch minus the blinds.

I love this time of year. The dogwood trees are soooo beautiful. One of the benefits of springtime in a new place is all the sweet surprises when things start to bloom. Everything is lovely because it's unexpected. My husband has vowed to find a place to plant tulips for next year where the deer can't get to them. In the meantime, I'll see what pops up.

Here is more of the beauty that is surrounding me right now. I've gotten a lot of beautiful mail over the last couple of days.

And here are the beautiful tulips I told you about.

So for the next few days I'll be walking around up here, dreaming of cards that I could be making and coloring since I won't be able to get online. I've got plenty of new stuff to color. I placed an order with Impression Obsession last weekend and they arrived yesterday. Most of the stamps I bought--if not all-- were Alesa Baker stamps. I stamped a few of the images last night so I've got plenty to do while I sit here amongst all this beauty.

Well, I've got to go say goodbye to my daughter and her lappy...

see you soon, jacki j

So glad you're home recovering, and you really *do* have a beautiful view.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a bit of a color pattern amongst those cards? :)

Welcome home! Glad to hear you are doing well.
(Guess I'm not the only one who can't plant tulips. The agony of having buds you know will open the next day....then to go out to see and the deer have chopped their heads right off...ARGGGGHHH!!!)

Ooooh! What a beautiful view, beautiful tulips, beautiful cards! You sound great and I'm so glad you posted. We've been missing y'all. Mind your mommy and stay away from those stairs. We're thinking about you, sweetie!

I hope they bring you lots of card magazines and stuff when you are unable to be online. Sometimes even magazines from the "old stash" are fun to flip through too...
Love ya,
Rebecca (from Gingerwood)
