Simplicity

Good Thursday morning! I'm still playing with the stuff Hero Arts sent me while I wait for the supplies for my spring assignments. About this card the flower is a wood stamp, but this same image is also available as a slightly smaller clear unmounted stamp. I found that interesting because I have some ideas to use both(although I didn't here) on a card. The saying is a part of another clear set, that had a lot of potential with me.

Some days, card making doesn't flow. So I stop. I made this the same day as the previous card. That was one of those days. I put the card into the embossing folder the wrong way so the swiss dots are debossed instead of embossed. If I hadn't preprinted my signature information on the back of the card, I would have just turned the card inside out. But I've decided that I kinda like the look.

For today, I'm wishing for what this card says. Simplicity-- wishing, but working. I'm attempting to make my bedroom a relaxing place by removing all crafty things. As a part of my New Years Resolutions, I'm trying to have a more normal and regular bed time. When I take coloring or magazines upstairs with me, I tend to keep my mind going far longer that I need to.
As you can tell, I give myself all year to work on New Year's Resolutions. I think so many people make decisions about what they want to improve, but because they fail by January 10, they give up the idea all together. Since I've adopted this policy, I have made lasting personal improvements.
So, with that being said, my less computer more crafting is only half working. Lately, I've had more computer, more crafting and less housework. I didn't see that one coming....

After I'm finished with my sorting and purging, I'm going to be starting on my 'Book of Me'. My first page will fit in perfectly with the latest Salt challenge . I was planning to do a Princess Defined page for page one.

Ok, I'm headed back upstairs. I'm seriously working on that less computer thing...

Be Blessed! Jacki

I love the card! But I guess I'm just drawn to the purple in it.

Housework...is that supposed to be done during the daylight hours? EVERYday? Who knew?? :-)

I LOVE the debossed look! This is an awesome card- maybe it's just the purple for me, too, or maybe because it's made by an awesome designer & artist??!

Very pretty card! I saw the debossed swiss dots and thought *now isn't that clever* - I thought you did it on purpose, lol!

Ok Jacki! I am terrible! I was going to email you tonight to say sorry for not emailing back and I couldn't find your message! Can you tell that I would lose my head if it wasn't attached!???!! Anyway, shoot me an email with your address and we can talk about "the swap!!" :-)

Hi Jacki!

This is not related to any of your posts, however I wanted to let you know that you are published in the April issue of Crafts 'n Things! Your card is on page 101.

Congratulations!

GORGEOUS card! I love the debossed part. It is simple but not lacking anything. Great work as usual, TFS.
