Pay It Forward

I'm really excited about how this project turned out. This was a labor of love. I know it looks pretty simple, but there were a lot of steps involved.

This box is for Julie , my first Pay it Forward victim-- and it was fun to make. I knew it was going to be good when she told me her favorite colors are Periwinkle and Rust. I love that color combination.

This box started with an unfinished craft wood box I purchased from Hobby Lobby.
1.Sand it lightly

2.Two light coats of craft paint

3.Sand it again
4.One to Two more coats of craft paint.

5.Stamp flower with Memories white dye ink (with clear stamps so that you can see where you are stamping!
6. Using a white craft paint, fill in flower. Let dry.
7. Stamp flower again with Versamark over white area. Also stamp create joy with Versamark.

8. Emboss with a rust color embossing powder.
9. Add rust paint and then clear dimensional adhesive to the flower's center. Add glitter before it dries.
10. Paint flower with a clear sparkly top coat and add more sparkle (I used Prisma Glitter)
11. I stopped and took pictures before I added the top coat of varnish* to avoid glare.
*I purchased varish in the same section as the craft paint at Michaels.
Both stamps by Hero Arts.
Have a blessed day! Look for something to appreciate today.

I have to move to GA...1. I want to be able to hang out with Dawn, and 2. I want to take class from YOU!!

I love this little box and though the directions sound ok to follow I'd still need guidance!!!
