I meant to post this the other day. Here are two of the cards I made that day that I declared "Play Day". I've uploaded the rest of the cards and two journals into my gallery. Click >here< to see the rest of them.
This metallic "card stock" was packaging from one of the bath gift sets that was received as a Christmas gift. It's not unusual to hear me say, " Hey, don't throw that away!! I can make a card with that!"
Finished Card size:4.25" x 5.5"
Stamps: Flowers(Stampin Up)
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black(Tsukineko)
Other: Ticket Corner Punch (SU), Ribbon ( purchased at Walmart)
Colored with Prismacolor Pencils

I'll have a few more cards, hopefully tomorrow. I've been coloring up a storm! I even pulled out my markers to make sure I don't have an regrets about not getting the Copics. I do know that the paper makes a big difference. I bought some Becket Expressions card stock from Marco Paper at that convention I went to a couple of weeks ago. The markers look better on it than the card stock I usually use. I like the watercolor markers that I have. I also have a lot of other Zig markers and a few Stampin Up Markers. For now, I'm satisfied with what I have, but if I ever hit the Lotto --a full set of Copics will be the first thing I buy!! Now that will really be a mirable ( Rug Rats reference) 'cause I don't play the lottery. ;)
On a Personal Note:
I think I'm headed up to bed. Yes, I know it's barely 7:30. I got up before 5 am to take my girl back to college this morning. She had an 8 o'clock class. We were debating yesterday about whether to go late afternoon or try going this morning. She and "the boy" wanted to watch some basketball thing on TV last night-- besides I was really tired. A little later, my husband came and told me about all the weather issues we may have hit, including rain coming down in sheets or buckets ( maybe both) and tornadoes. I saw a lot of trees down this morning from that storm. God sure does take care of us doesn't he. I had not even thought to check the weather.
I rounded off my day working on family reunion stuff. Both my husband's family and my family have bi-annual family reunions in July-- that's right they end up in the same year.
Good night, I'm going to color until I fall asleep!

Lovely cards. Do hope you are feeling perky tomorrow.
Jacki, so glad to see someone else can't throw away anything! Sometimes they make the prettiest cards like the one you posted. Very Lovely card!

The FIRST thing I noticed was the beautiful paper under the flowers!! I was amazed to find out it was from a box. The card is gorgeous, I love your coloring, TFS.
The baby outfit is beautiful!! You used my favorite color combo. I've had this stamp on a wish list for about 2-3 years. I hope they still have it because you just made this a "must have" for me. TFS.
