Lemons and Lemonaide

These stamps are is from a 'new to me' company, Onyx Impressions. I've heard of them for years and been to the site many times, but unfortunately funds are not unlimited so I had not purchased anything until recently. This time, I saw something that I had to have. I love the style of this drawing. I'll have to find out who the artist is.

I didn't use the words stamp for the inside. I wanted to say something different so I computer generated the inside panel and glued the pitcher of lemonaide to it. I left the bottom panel for a personal note.

Finished Card size:4.25" x 5.5"
Stamps: Lemons (Onys Impressions)
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black(Tsukineko),
Other: Buttons(Bazzill), Embossed lines created with Score It.
Colored with Prismacolor Pencils

On a Personal Note:
I may have some Copics for sale. As you know I love to color with Prismacolor pencils. With all the Copic hype in blogland and with my love for coloring, I just had to try them out. I like markers too, but they have long since taken a back seat to color pencils---way back. Today I went to Hobby Lobby and bought 5 Copic markers; 2 greens, 2 purples, and a colorless blender. I know it's going to take practice, but on first try they are not a whole lot better than the markers I have that I paid half the price for--actually less than half the price. That doesn't mean they are not good, it just means I already have some pretty good markers. I don't think Im going to add to my collection and as a matter of fact, I'm probably going to sell them if I can't get back to the store to return them in the next day or so. I'm playing with Prismacolor markers too. I've always been interested in them.

And in a totally unrelated matter, I have a surgery date now. In about 2 months, I'll be headed in for that major surgery that was postponed last year. My mom is coming to be here to be with me so that takes a load off my mind. But there is so much to do to prepare the house and the kids and my husband for my recuperation. Do you think maybe I'll finally get that stack of magazines read?

Wow, this is a GREAT card. The artwork is lovely (you coloring queen, you!) but the message is truly wonderful. Way to go!

Wow, Jacki, this card is amazing! The color makes those lemons just jump right off the page. I love the layout of it as well. That card would be an encouragement to anyone!
Please continue to keep us updated about your surgery -- prayers are coming your way!

What a pity the company doesn't have YOUR saying for the inside panel. I like what you have so much more. It's a wonderful card. I will keep you in my prayers.

The layered look with the one lemon hovering above the card really adds a nice touch.
