Good News and Bad News

First the bad news...
I'm not going to be teaching at Michaels anymore after my March lineup. Nobody will be teaching classes at Michaels. It was decision handed down from Corporate. I think it is a bad decision, but nobody asked me. I'm actually thinking about writing to Corporate, and even if it's ignored, I will voice my opinion.

And now the good news...
You are looking at the newest Web Artist for Hero Arts! I'm so excited.

Edited to Add more details: So sorry, I should have said what a Web artist is. My bad...
You can go to http://heroarts.com/ for card making and scrapbooking ideas. They also have a newsletter that is sent out through email with a card of the week. The web artists design the cards and scrapbook pages etc that are used in those places. I think their regular artists design for the catalog as well.

My youngest son took this for me yesterday. I think it's weird because I hate getting my picture taken, and here I am with a new picture twice in six months.

I know all of you know who Hero Arts is so I don't have to explain how incredible this news is and why I'm so excited. When I told my family, it took a while just to explain what a "Hero Arts" is (LOL) but I think you will understand my excitement.

My son thinks this is a better deal anyway, because I won't have to go out at night to teach my classes.

Look at God. Even before I got the bad news about Michaels, Jehovah Jireh had already prepared the way for me to have this new job.
Remember that my Bible study is called " Lord I Want to Know You" written by Kay Arthur. We are learning the attributes of God and what His names mean. Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our provider, means plainly that the Lord sees and provides for the necessities of His servants.

To my prayer warriors: I'm having a hard time with something in my life involving my family right now-- that is my family that includes my siblings not my kids and husband. I would appreciate your prayers that I would handle myself in a God honoring way. God will provide....

Have a blessed weekend!!

Jacki, my prayers will be with you. As I read the beginning of your email, I thought "oh, no!" about Michaels, because your classes sounded wonderful, and you are providing such a gift to those who are your students. Then, as I read on, I started to smile; I just had the opportunity to get several new clear Hero Arts sets (3 came in the mail today!), and I am so excited that I'll be able to take advantage of your Hero Arts contributions. And I think your son is right; it will be nice that you can be home in the evenings (at least I dislike going out at night away from my family). Congrats on the new opportunity, and BTW, I love your latest picture. :)

Congratulations!! Hero Arts is a better company to work for than Michaels anyway. I don't know what the honchos at Michaels are thinking most of the time - that place aggravates me to no end! I am looking forward to seeing your work on the HA website!

So, does that mean that we'll get some sneak peaks of Hero stuff here? Woo-hoo! You'll have to fill us in on how this came about- that is too cool!

Your situation calls to mind that famous saying "when one door closes another one opens", that sure is evident in your case. I'm happy that you won't have to go out at night also.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I'll be praying for you and your siblings.

Great picture! Congrats on the Hero Arts position. They have wonderful images and I can't wait to see what you do with them. I'm happy you'll have more evenings at home with the fam. God knows best and it's always exciting to see what wonderful plans He has in mind.
I will keep your extended family concerns in my prayers. Unfortunately, that issue has arisen here too.

Oh, that is great that you were able to get a connection with H.A. They are one of my very favorite stamp companies. I have had this stamping name for 20 years but am also a Child of God. Praise Him. Like we say in Church every Sunday "God is Good All the Time; All the Time God is Good" Looking forward to seeing your H.A. creations.
