"I don't have the right to give up. I don't have the right to give in. You always pull me through so I'm going to put my trust in you. " These are lines to a song sung by a great encourager, Yolanda Adams. Sometimes is just the slap into reality I need.
This Footprints poem is another one of my favorites. Like the Prayer of Serenity, my first memories of this poem was also at my grandmother and aunt's house. I spent a lot of time there when I was a teenager. I get goosebumps when I look back on the times in my life where I felt lost and abandoned and couldn't see God, only to realize that God had been carrying me through those tough times. I mentioned watercoloring this last month when I was frustrated. This beautiful stamp gives just enough of that poem for the front of a card, I think.

Well, it's Monday morning -- a new day and a new week. I see a lot of potential in all the newness, don't you?

One more daughter to get off to college this week and then back to my own projects. Be blessed today!

Beautiful card!

I recently heard of another version of this poem: The person looks back at the sand, and asks, "Lord? What are those funny indentations I see there?"
"That's when you were sitting on your keester, hindering our progress. And then I had to drag you along." Made me wonder how much more progress we'd be making if I were a willing participant!!
