baby announcements

One of the problems with moving, is it takes awhile to get used to where everything is, even when you finally get things put away. I couldn't find my cable to connect the camera to the computer for a day or so. When I did finally find it, the computers were occupied by people doing financial stuff and homework. Where are their priorities?

The first two cards were made especially for Christy. She only needed 6 ( I made three of each variation) so I pulled out my favorite mom and baby stamp and colored several images. I printed the baby announcement inside on the left panel so that she could write a note on the right. I purposely didn't add any dimensional embellishments because I wanted her to be able to mail them w/o having to go into the post office with the babies in tow. And while I had the stuff out, I made a couple extra announcements and thank you cards.

The rest of the cards were made with images that I colored awhile ago.
I don't remember if it was from a project that I never finished, or one where I was halfway done and decided to go a different way.
This is one of my favorite "baby" stamps from a retired SU set.

Looks like a very happy crowd at your house. Best of luck to all the kids.
Love the baby cards. Very heartwarming. Glad to see you back in blog country.

Those are lovely! That's one of my favorite mother-baby images, too. And I particularly like it because it can work for any ethnicity!

Nice cards. I actually have a friend having a baby boy...she might get a card eerily similar to one of these. :) I just used that same stamp set tonight, too!
