In a Nutshell

I know I mentioned before that I am really trying to get better about actually sending cards I make. For starters, I know a lot of expectant mothers right now, and one who recently gave birth (OK, it was actually 6 weeks ago, but it seems like just yesterday). I was reading another blog that mentioned she knew a lot of pregnant people too, so I know I'm not alone in this.

I figured if I make one for everybody while I'm in the baby card mode, so at least I'll have them ready when the time comes. Again, the trick is to make sure the mailman gets them. LOL
I got a start on them last night. For some reason I made girl cards and I only need one for sure. Maybe I'll send the extras in for publication?? I still need to make a couple boy baby cards and gender neutral cards. I think the last one shown below can go either way.
I have two friends due in July and in August and the parent's don't know the sex of the baby. If pink is for girls and blue is for boys, I guess I'll mix it together and make purple (wink) for both of them.
I think this last one is my favorite.

Stamps: Hedgehog In a Nutshell is Penny Black, Clothes Line background is a Jumbo wheel and words are from the Bundle of Joy set all by SU.The patterned paper used is Basic Grey. The last card is Cool Caribbean cardstock. Other stuff: The ovals are cut with a Coluzzle. Flower is with the Martha Stewart punch. Word Window Punch, Fiskars Clous Scissors, Corner Punch, Prismacolor Pencils

Hi Jacki - I keep trying to post comments, but sometimes the computer locks up while the comments box is loading. I read your blog everyday and love all you've done, so don't think that I'm not paying attention! LOL

The baby card in the center - flowery green one - is my favorite! So sweet and just perfect in every way. But they're all really cute.

I've always thought green or yellow was the perfect gender-neutral color for a baby. Our firstborn was a surprise, so most of her earliest onesies were white, yellow or green. We got to use them for the second baby too!

Thanks for sharing all your creations!

Hey Jacki, beautiful cards, as usual! The green one happens to be my favouritem too, but they are all sweet! I am amazed that you still find time to stamp....

Hi Jackie, I am partial to the pink one...which is funny since I am so not "girly"...but it is so wonderful with the browns. What an adorable stamp...and great cards!
