Stamp-A-Stack

I decided to go to Jayne's Stamp -A- Stack Workshop last week. The idea of completing a batch of cards in one sitting was appealing because it wouldn't have happened at home -- I don't think. My intentions were to make several cards that can be used as Thank You's in the next few weeks. I came home with 12 and gave away 6, but I'm still ahead. Going to this workshop is another step towards "branching out" for me. I need to try new styles and bright colors. Don't get me wrong, I like my little cardmaking "box", but, I have a lot of stuff that I don't use because I am so often in my box. I'm trying to do some cutsie and/or funny cards which are just a little out of my comfort zone.

In anticipation of the storm last weekend, the kids and I headed over to Walmart. Since no trip for groceries is complete without a stroll thru the craft section, I wandered around and found this really cool (and inexpensive) velvet ribbon. I intentionally chose a color (royal blue) that I don't usually gravitate towards. (I'm branching out, remember?) I don't think I have cardstock or ink in that color, so we will have to see what coordinates with royal blue tomorrow.
According to Jayne, all designs are CASEd from SCS (SplitCoastStampers)
