Hippity Hop!

ETA: I've noted the requests for clarification on the bead application as well as the shaving creme technique. Scroll down to see a video demonstration on the shaving creme technique.

Welcome to the Hero Arts 2010 Catalog Blog Hop!
I'm Jacki Jones and I have a couple of things to show you that I made with new stamps from the 2010 catalog.

The first card was made with an image called Silhouette Meadow Flowers. I first colored the card stock with the Shaving Cream technique using shaving cream and re-inkers( two reds and two greens). I stamped the Silhouette image in black ink and trimmed close to the image. Micro beads called Sugar Dust were applied using the Xyron. To apply the beads using Xyron adhesive, run the trimmed image through the Xyron face down so that the adhesive will stick to the front. After I peeled off the backing, I poured the beads over the image and rubbed it a little with my hands to make sure the beads completely covered the adhesive. I then ran the bead covered image back through to apply adhesive on the back side before mounting on a card stock mat.
The green is from the Holiday note card pack PS 539) I also used a Kraft card, which I cut down to a square card. The print is Basic Grey.

This tag was made with Girl Holding Flowers! Isn't she adorable?? I also used the Starburst (F5318)in the background. This tag was made for someone special in my life who is getting a laptop for her Birthday. Actually, this is for the laptop bag. She doesn't happen to go online yet, which is why she is getting a laptop : ) so the secret is safe here...

The card stock used is the green (Granny Smith Dill) from holiday note card pack PS539 and Pink PS512. Inks used are Memories Black AF101 and Shabby Shutters AF163. She was colored with Prismacolor Premier pencils ( my favorite). I don't use anything other than a colorless blender pencil to blend in addition to the pencils themselves.
Feel free to ask any questions!

Thanks for hopping with me! Head on over to Virginia Lu's blog for you next exciting stop! Be Blessed!!!
