Cool Cats

Before I show you my Cool Cats, I thought I would show you my lighting studio. Remember when I was running around trying to find this one? I've taken it out of the box a few times, but I don't actually use it because it only has blue or gray for the background colors. I know I could just get some black or white fabric and make my own, but I haven't done that yet. That would make too much sense. Instead, I purchased a large piece of white fun foam (for under a dollar I'm sure) to serve as a base. I pull the sheer curtain around it in the afternoon when the sun hits this door just right. It's cloudy today so the pictures aren't as bright as I'd like. Actually I think the sun did come out a little for this first one.
OK, I know what you are thinking and yes, I did play with the boxes the toys came in more than I did the toys when I was a kid. :)

And now, my first Cool Cat card using the free digital download from Hambo Stamps. And here is a link to the Cool Cat Contest. The winner gets free digital downloads. :) I want them all. I'm greedy like that. The more I look at the backgrounds I think I need the birds and penguins. I think The Boy would have fun making cards with those also.

The Felt Flowers are Hero Arts the printed paper is Urban Prairie (Basic Grey) and colored with Prismacolor Pencils of course.

Here is another Cool Cat. The flower is Martha Stewart, the paper is Urban Prairie (Basic Grey), the JOY is a Hambo Stamp. I added a little Prisma Glitter to this one on the flowers and umbrella and the ice.

You can see the magnet for the joy flap here in the corner. The next two photos show a close up of the flap that closes the card. It's made from two black circle punches and the message on a white circle. The tab and the magnet are glued between the two black circles.
.

If you have any questions about this just let me know.

So I must get back to attempting to think about making a scrapbook page today since it's National Scrapbook Day. ( Yeah I know that doesn't make much sense, just read it a little slower :) I haven't done a scrapbook page all year. Last year I only did one... the whole year! I'm not motivated? I don't know where to start? Got any ideas?

These are both really great Jacki! The coloring is so nice in each, and I love the clever way you used the magnet in the second one. Thanks so much for playing along! :)
