A Time to Talk

When a friend call to me from the road
And slows his horse to a meaning walk,
I don't stand still and look around
On all the hills I haven't hoed,
And shout from where I am, What is it?
No, not as there is a time to talk.
I thrust my hoe in the mellow ground,
Blade-end up and five feet tall,
And plod: I go up to the stone wall
For a friendly visit.

Robert Frost

Just dropping in to let you know that I've not fallen off the planet. Things will be back to normal in a week or so. I'm making progress with all my wedding projects for the wedding next week. Yesterday I made eight pair of earrings and I'm working on the bracelets and necklaces. I finished the easy part of the wedding programs. I took them to Kinkos to be printed and folded. When I pick them up tomorrow, I'll start stamping on the front of all 250 of them. Then on Thursday, I've got help coming in the form of the cavalry (whose name is Dawn) . We are going to put the ribbon through all of them... or she will help with as many as she can until her fingers hurt and she hates me-- whichever comes first. I'll take pictures.
I'm also working on Save the Date cards for another wedding. Hopefully that will be done tonight if I figure this new software. I'm believing that it's going to work out.

I loved that poem and I thought it appropriate, because I'm dropping all these projects for a couple of hours tonight. We have some friends coming in to see us who we haven't seen in 5 years. We used to live in the same neighborhood three moves ago. Their son is here in the Atlanta area so they are visiting him so we get a couple of hour with them.

I'll be back soon ( in a few days) ready to show you all my wedding creations.

I also wanted to add two prayer requests.

Christopher... continue to remember him.
and
The Richardson family. Remember the young man who died in the car accident a couple of months ago. Actually it was two months ago yesterday. Please pray as they still grieve the loss of their son. Although they know he is looking at the face of Jesus right now, they still miss him.

Choosing joy, Jacki!!

Glad to hear from you. Hope you have a nice visit! Anyone I know? Good luck with the invitations! What a LOT of work! Are these paying jobs (I hope) or your present to the bride & groom?
