Everything Wonderful...

Here is a card that I've been working on for a while. I'm still not sure that it's finished. What do you think?

I colored it when I was doing all those cards with the Artistic Borders. The flower is from that set, but the leaf is an accent image from another set.
Several weeks after I colored it, I decided to trim it and add the pink behind it. A few days later I settled on this sentiment. And now when I look at it, I like it, but I think it needs a little something extra. Right now I'm thinking just a little bit of glitter? What do you think?

Random thoughts for today...

It's Monday and I'm just getting going with my day. I was supposed to have the refrigerator repair man come today, but some signals got crossed and now he's coming on Wednesday. So since I could hardly keep my eyes open, I went to bed. It was the best decision I made all day!

When I finally got up, most of the day was gone, which in itself produced a strange feeling. But I had a fire to put out. No milk in the house so I needed to make a quick trip to the grocery store. When I arrived I thought I was in Wonderland or Oz. EVERYTHING was in a different place. They totally rearranged the entire store! I was just there on Thursday or Friday, but so it was a strange experience. The layout actually makes sense now because there are more like items (or items that would go together) are across the isle from each other instead of at the other end of the store. I think they go up one shelf higher than they used to because I really felt short today.
My quick trip took just a little longer than I expected, but I got back home before the bus came-- which was my goal.

Over the weekend, I spent a lot of time rearranging my "office" ( a spot in the basement where my computer is) and cleaning out old papers. I finally hooked up the old computer to the new printer and the new computer to the old printer. Well sort of. The new printer isn't actually working yet. I got a wireless printer with the new computer and I'm having trouble making it work. I may have to call in the experts...

I've got to make a couple of cards or something today. It's been a few days since I finished something. I mentioned a long time ago that I was on the threshold of a big change in my life. It's big for me anyway. I'm writing a book, a novel, a work of fiction. This is my first fiction writing in life. I don't even remember in all my writing in school ( many moons ago) ever writing fiction, not even a short story or anything like it. This story- in approx. 28 chapters just came to me. The outline came all at once last summer during the long ride to and from Michigan. I'm writing it a little at a time as it comes to me. I spent months writing nothing, but thinking about it. Lately, I've been engulfed in it. Are you laughing? Yeah, I am. It's not like I have a lot of free time to add anything to my life. BUT, I am going to give this a chance and at least get the story written down. I've never considered myself a writer and never had even the slightest desire to write anything that would be read by other people. That is until I started blogging. What will become of this? I have no idea. I don't know if I will ever let anyone read it. I'm going to let my oldest daughters look at it when I get enough down on paper. But after that we'll see. I'm marveling at God right now. I'm having more unique experiences in my 40s than any other decade of my life. Well I've been holding that in for months, and now you know. And now I need to get back to it.

I'm going to see if I can edit the pictures for the tutorial and finish that. I'm trying to be the old dog who can learn new tricks with this new computer. With a little patience and a little help from the young techie people in my life, I'll get it.

Its the end of the month already! Please send me your prayer requests!

My Bible verse for today is actually two verses. It is Psalm 117.

1. Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. 2 For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.

Be blessed today. I sure am. Thanks to all of you who encourage me thru emails and comments. I'm honored that you come back and read what I write here over and over. Choosing Joy!! Jacki.

I like it just the way it is. but a touch of glitter wouldn't ruin it either.

Hi Jacki! Kalyber's suggestion to add some glitter is a good idea. I was thining that some sheer ribbon could be interesting - on the top, off to the right maybe? Yikes! I am giving advice to my artistic e-mentors? Jacki, the card is fine as it is!
Writing a book..... Is it one you can release a chapter at a time? I wait with baited breath for the first printing! How exciting!

Jacki, my feeling is glitter is always good. Love the cut edge on the card.
I think the book is a great idea unless you get tense (is that the word I want?) over it. Just let it come naturally. sandie

The card is lovely. Glitter would be nice, too. Good luck on the book. Just let it flow.
