Proud Mama Alert!

and Card of the Week Alert.

I thought it was pretty cool when my daughter had the opportunity to write for the Kalamazoo Gazette a couple of years ago. And now one of my very favorite teens and 'like a daughter' to me Melissa has written a timely article for her local newspaper. Melissa's article in the Macon newspaper. Melissa's blog is also one of my favorites.

I'm headed to the Dr. (Internal medicine) tomorrow, finally. I've been battling a nasty headache/migraine all day today. It's wavering in intensity so I'm not sure if it's a full blown migraine. I spent my time today working on stuff for Hero Arts in between the headaches so I'm sorry, but I have nothing to show here. I do, however, have a couple of new cards over in the Holiday card making section at Hero Arts. Because this is the beginning of the month, there were several Cards of the Week. Click on the preview picture below and it'll take you directly to the card if you want to see it and all of it's stats.

It's been a long day. We voted first thing this morning. We arrived at 5:52 and we were 10th, 11th and 12th in line. When they opened the polls at 7:00 am, we voted right away were back in the car by 7:15 ish and back home by 7:30. My husband and I had the privilege of accompanying our daughter on her first opportunity to exercise her right to vote. Actually this is the first presidential election for my other daughter also, just not her first time voting. It was a very momentous day for the Jones family. My headache and I are going to turn in for the night. Be Blessed! and Choose Joy! We may not know what the future holds, but we know WHO holds the future!

P.S. the counter is 88842... getting closer!

Hey sweetie! I'm sorry you've had a headache! I get migraines too and they are NO fun. But I'm starting to notice that mine are stress related. So I guess that's up to me to fix, huh?

So glad you, your hubby and your daughter got out to vote this morning. This is all SO very exciting. I almost hate that I voted 4 weeks ago :-).

I'm ready for my Jacki fix...holla at me!

Those owlies are adorable. Hope you feel better soon. Maybe it's the changing weather or something else, like being busy. Always good to see the next generation exercise the right to vote. Give them a pat on the back.

WELL I missed seeing that counter turn over. I have gotten so used to checking in with you every day and I 've come to know your designs and about your family, I think I will leave your site in my Favorites and still check in with you every day. It was fun, my friend. And those birdies today are so cute! Do you approve of our new President? Linda Crowder

Hi Jackie, Love your card of the little owl on Hero Arts sight. It is so darn cute. Get that headache under control, I'll say a prayer for you. Take care, Pat

Hope the tips from the doc and the meds work for you.
Congrats to you on your visitors - you know we all love you and your work - now you can look forward to the 100,000!
Wow - you were early voters but I can see why after hearing some people queued for hours to vote (doesn't happen like that in UK - well, maybe in the cities, but not round here!) I had a (cheshire cat) smile on my face all day yesterday after hearing the news at 6.25am (I am not normally awake at that time, but had to post a card early!) The 6pm UK news coverage of the result had me crying like a child! (Happy tears!)
