Bleeding Heart Sympathy

Here's a quick card.. other than the coloring, I think this took 5 minutes to put together.

I used this stamp (DesignBlock Tree) to create the subtle background. The Bleeding Heart set by smARTworks is really easy to color. I colored a couple of them a few weeks ago so it was already done when I decided to make this card. The ribbon was something I found at Wal-Mart a while ago.

I got sidetracked last week organizing my color pencils. I have pencils in three different places, so I dumped them all together, sorted, counted and evenly distributed them. I was able to order ones that I actually needed and not have to guess. I feel much better now that that's done. The paper collection is next....

I made a bunch of cards over the last few days. I'm going to play with that light studio and try to get them photographed this afternoon. I really want to do a tutorial on this background I do that's easy to show but hard to explain.

Can you believe it's almost been 6 weeks since my surgery. I go back to the "purple" doctor on Wednesday afternoon. I'm feeling better these days, physically. Hobby Lobby which is right behind the doctor's office in on my list for Wednesday. They have a 30% coupon for unfinished wood and I love to paint and stamp on wood. I think I'll get a couple of boxes or something. I've got a couple teacher gifts to make and I think I'm going to use the remote holders and make desk caddies. With gas prices being the way they are, I'm trying to conserve my trips to places like that, so I'm actually excited that I have to go to the doctor because it's near Hobby Lobby.

I'll be back with more cards tomorrow, hopefully!

Oh, before I go, let me tell you that P.S. I love you was pretty good indeed -- get a box of tissues before you see it. Mad Money is another one. I don't think you need tissues with this one, but the story is fascinating and the movie was well done. My new favorite is The Great Debaters! It was so inspiring. Make sure you watch the special features on this one. I loved learning about the actual people these characters were based on.

And please, pay attention to any ratings of these movies and decide for yourself if it's appropriate for you. Because I recommended a movie (This Christmas) to my sister once, she not only took her girls --who are a few years younger than my girls, but she took a friend who had even younger kids. They ended up covering the kids eyes on several scenes. She thinks of me as a prude so she figured it was G rated or something. I didn't take my boys, because of the content. So judge for yourself.

...be back tomorrow with some cards.

omigosh! Can't believe it's been six weeks. And you have all these awesome cards. You've made more in that time than I have, I'll bet. They just can't keep a princess down, can they? You go, baby! And have a great time at HL.
