A Note of Thanks

Mom left a little while ago. I'm so sad that she's leaving, but grateful for the time we had together. She really took good care of me. I didn't expect to be feeling this good in just a week. I have to be careful to listen to my body and not my mind.

I made this card for her yesterday in her favorite color ( and on my lap!) yesterday. The whole family signed it and wrote her nice notes.
The main image is Stampin Up(retired). The background is done with one of the Hero Arts clear sets called Fantastic Flourishes. The sentiment is that set that also includes that create joy (From the Heart Greetings) that I love and you'll be seeing it more in the next few days.

I wish you could see how much stuff has crept upstairs. It looks like the Card Castle annex in my bedroom. LOL!

Since I allowed to take the steps once a day, I've got a plan to camp out down here with the computer and the Card Castle, so you should see me around more in this next week. Sitting up at the computer isn't very comfortable so it'll be a while before I get caught up with all my blog reading. Send me a link if you see something I need to see right away, OK?
Here are a few more pictures and then I'm headed back upstairs today. Have a blessed weekend!

Here is mom and the boys this morning.

Mom with her necklace I strung for her.

Love the card, Jack! So beautiful. I saw the Hero flourishes at Joann a few weeks ago and they were my first clear set purchse. I just bought the distressed alphabet today. I miss you.

LOVED the pretty card! So gracious to make, all sign and give it to your Mom.
Having now seen your her, it's obvious where some of your beauty comes from. Pretty smile too! A friend saw your photo on my computer and couldn't believe you were over 30, let alone with 5 kids! You have been missed; glad your back. Do take care....

Thanks for missing me!! I was nicely scolded for not answering my comments... so let me tell you that it's cute that you think my mom is cute... thanks for liking that card. I loved the purples and enjoyed making it for her... I'm really trying hard not to over do (pray for me)
My boy really does look like my mom, but for some reason, he doesn't like to hear that. I'm going to dig up a photo of her when she was 9 and compare it to his 9 year old photo...
Loni, I think that flourish is my favorite (don't I say that about all my stamps?)
and Mary, now that this surgery is in my past, I'm going to regain my girlish figure and take a new picture. This time I'm shooting for 25! Thanks everybody...

Awww, how sweet. Your mom is so cute. I was thrilled to be able to meet her. And from what I saw, she DID take good care of you. Cheesecake for dessert in the middle of the afternoon? WHO get's that kind of service? :-)

I'll see you soon.

WOW!!
In this post that beautiful flower caught my eye and drew me in! WOW--beautiful coloring!! I think it is the prettiest card I have seen with that set!

Then your family!! More beautiful!!
Your younger son's smile made me laugh--my son does the same look for pictures!

Love the necklace, too!
