On a Personal Note:
It's been a long weekend already. I doesn't help that I'm not feeling all that great. But all that will be over in a few weeks! After my surgery, I won't have to deal with this monthly stuff ever again!
Yesterday, was spent on the road getting my daughter for spring break.
And Gina was here last night! I got a call earlier in the week that she wanted to stop and see me on her way thru Atlanta. I was so thrilled!!! This is a friend that I knew from when I lived in GA before. Her family moved away just a few weeks before we did in 2004. We had a fun time talking and comparing war stories about raising teenagers. We had pizza from the Hut and watched a movie called August Rush. ( which I highly recommend, by the way. I was on the edge of my seat and on the verge of tears for almost the whole entire movie!). She even brought me a new friend, Julia. We really had a sweet time.
Well, it's the Saturday before Easter and I still have a little shopping to do. College girl needs an outfit. I took the boy and the other boy and the high school girl to the mall the other night. I remember mentioning before that I detest taking kids to the mall because of all the crying and begging. They must be growing up, because it really wasn't too bad.
I didn't get to see my sister last weekend while she was in area but she's on her way today, so it's going to be a full day.
I've got a lot to be thankful for! I'm so blessed! I'm going to leave you with a verse that meant so much to me this week. Wait, before I do, I thought it was funny that one of the morning shows reported about a study this week. The study found that dwelling on the good things going on in our lives had benefits (health and emotional). I remembered a Bible verse written a few years before the study that said something like that. (wink) We all have troubles, but out attitudes about it will make a big difference. One of my favorite quotes says "Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% what you do with what happens to you."
Look up! Choose JOY! Think on the good things in your life. The rest will work itself out, but you'll handle it better with a good attitude.

Jacki, I love that card! It's just so cheerful. The verse you left is my class verse. The children memorize it at the beginning of the year and then when they are being unking or what not, I ask them to recite it. It really cuts down on discipline problems. I,m looking forward to seeing you soon! Deb
