Mother's Day

Getting started early. Wanna bet that I still mail them late? LOL.

Stamps: Rose(Raindrops on Roses), happy mother's day (Impression Obsession)
Coloring medium: Water Color Pencils

I actually painted this rose for a bulletin board several years ago. My husband (and I ) had a young married couples Sunday school class. We had a seminar or something that required a wedding themed bulletin board. Once the event was over, I took down and saved all the components. I found them in a box last week. I discarded most of the stuff (I'm really purging, yeah!), but I saved this rose.

happy mother's day (Impression Obsession), all other stamps (Stampin Up)
Coloring Medium: Prismacolor Pencils
This is the card I started when I did the tutorial.

On a Personal Note:
I just got back from my road trip. One of my girls is at home, but the other one isn't going to be able to come. :(

What did you do with your extra day?

These cards are stupendous! I am very grateful that you put a link to the tutorial.

I'm sorry your other daughter didn't make it home, but trust that you will have a good time with the one that did. TFS.

Hi Jacki,
Lovely card - it is really going to be appreciated. Hope you have a lovely Mother's Day.
I was working all day today, but I remembered your previous post about leap day and started the day taking a few photos of my kids, even a couple in the school line. And have just taken a couple of them in their PJs and in bed! I'm now thinking of doing a mini-book to capture the moment!

Gorgeous card. And you're right, you won't get it mailed out until Father's Day! LOL

I'm sorry your other daughter wasn't able to make it. I hope all is well.

Talk to you soon.

The rose is lovely, Jacki; I have an outline rose similar to that which I have almost gotten rid of, but seeing yours, maybe I'll play with it...

Re: mother's day card: I made this year's card about a year ago, so I'm way ahead (okay, so I made it for last year, lost it, finally made another one (just in time!), then rediscovered it around December...

Jacki, you did a wonderful job on shading on the rose. It looks beautiful. You put me to shame--I finally did two bday cards today (3/2) for birthdays that were on 2/17 and 2/18. Tomorrow I hope to do two for birthdays on 3/4! LOL!
