I just wanted to play with these birdies. I don't tend to have the kind of gatherings where I would need to make handmade invitations, but wouldn't this be cute? I bought these stamps to design a ready to assemble kit of invitations for my soon to be 11 year old neice. She wants to plan a birthday party and loves to make cards. Her BD isn't until April but I'm going to put together some items for her and get it shipped out really soon.

On a Personal Note:
I'm headed out to lunch with a young lady my husband and I met. I can't wait to tell you about a 'chance' meeting we had a few weeks ago. I'll get her permission and some pictures today. I made a card for her too. I'll show you that then too.

It's rainy and gloomy here, but we are getting rain that we desperately need, so who can complain?

Be blessed today. God has been pointing me to Philippians for the past 6 weeks, so I'll leave you with these verses to encourage you and thank you for encouraging me.

Philippians 1: 3-6
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

I love this Jacki! You did such a great job with the coloring -- it all looks so RICH. I agree this would be a really fun invitation. Hmmm... I have two kids with upcoming birthdays... maybe I need to start stamping?

I need to go check out this stamp company. I see lots of references to it but have never held one in my hand. After lent is over, I can spend money again (and eat peanut butter) Will be nervous wait of 6 weeks-Ilove my peanut butter.

This is such a lovely idea and the stamp and card are great. You've now given me an idea on what to do for the kids at church next time I get asked to do a session with them (normally if I take stamps, they are plain and simple and I worry about the ink - your way is so much easier, with a better result!)
