Happy 2008!

Julie made this a chocolate chocolate cake for our New Years Celebration! Our friends, the Hydes, came back to celebrate with us. This is the same family that spent Thanksgiving with us.

Confetti is our tradition. They plan for it for weeks. As a matter of fact, this year, the boys tell me that each day as they cut a ring off their paper chains as a countdown to Christmas, they cut up the paper and saved it for the confetti. We'll be finding and cleaning up confetti for months!

This a page of my scrapbook from 2000. I think the confetti tradition started a couple of years before this. This was the year, somebody got the bright idea to put confetti on the ceiling fan and at midnight they would flip the switch. It really looks pretty fluttering down, but as I said before, we clean it up for months! ( These pages were the least expensive page I've ever done. I used two sheets of cardstock and a red marker with stencils.)

Happy a blessed first day of the year!

What a blast, Jacki! I confess New Year's is a holiday without traditions for us; I feel badly about that. Though as the children grow older and are not always here for everything, it's one less emotional adjustment, lol!

Have a fabulous year, Jacki!

Love ya!

Love the confetti tradition. Especially since it's in YOUR house :-).

Well, at least now if we start that tradition, Jayla can help me clean it up with her new vacuum cleaner, LOL.

Happy New Year to you and your family.

It's fun to read about your traditions. We were in FL over the holidays and I'm just getting back and getting caught up. We did NOTHING traditional this holiday season, since we weren't at our own house. It will be nice to go back to our traditions next year.
Happy New Year to you & yours!
