Lady Bug Invasion...help!

I don't like bugs. NOT even lady bugs. Especially, in my house. I know they are a Gardner's delight, but I don't garden. They are supposed to be lucky, but, I don't believe in luck so....

Anyway, evidently they like me/us. My neighbor marveled at the fact that she had around 60 lady bugs on the front of her house. I easily had thousands on the outside of my house. I had a couple hundred inside. yuck

This is a picture of the french doors inside my Card Castle room -- before the "crowd"really came in. I guess they like to watch me make cards. Who knew I'd be able to command an audience?

Here are the same french doors on the outside. You may have to click on the photo to really see them.
So do you think this will inspire me to create a lady bug card? NOPE. Just the opposite. I have one lady bug stamp designed by Dina for Biblical Impressions. I only have it because it came on a full sheet. I'm so creeped out by all the bugs that I don't think I would ever be able to use it.

Another unsolicited fact about me is that House Mouse images creep me out too.
I have to finish that bulletin board art today! I'll take pictures of course. :)

ETA: in response to your comments....
Thanks for all the support and suggestions with the Lady Bugs. At first I would just get a broom and shoo them out the doors. I started vacumming them with my hose and extentions when they started coming in by the dozen. I feel like I'm a ghost buster... I mean lady bug buster. They are getting worse every day. The problem is they've scattered all over the house. We have a 2 story family room and I can't get to the ones on the ceiling there....

And Melody, no worries. I really appreciated your card and it didn't creep me out. Lady bugs didn't bother me a whole lot until now. I guess the mice bother me because a long time ago we lived in an apartment that developed a mouse problem.

Oh my GOODNESS!!! I don't think I've EVER seen so many ladybugs in one place!!! That's kinda creepy! However, that's better than bees, termites, wasps, spiders and ants. ALL of which we've been "invaded" by at one point or another. But like you, I don't do bugs and I don't garden either. So I think the little "ladies" need to find somewhere else to go!

We have swarms of ladybugs at our house, too. They have figured out how to get inside and they drive me nuts! I suck them up with a little handheld vacuum when I see them because they leave stains on everything. I freak when I see them sitting on our white fabric blinds or white carpet!! My husband sprays something non-toxic on the outside of our house multiple times during the warm weather to try to ward them off, but it only partially works.

I used to love ladybugs, but now I hate them.

Have a great day (hopefully, ladybug free)!

go read this and see which species you have. I just scoop them up and put them outside or in the composter-I find they do no harm. Now Earwigs-that is another story!

Aaack! And I sent you a LADYBUG card??!! I'm sorry!!! We have 'em all over too, even here in MN, but they tell us they're not actually ladybugs, they're ASIAN BEETLES, they were imported as a natual alternative to pestisides, and it BACKFIRED! You're best bet is to vacuum them, altho my aunt sprays hers with diluted Dawn dishsoap! She claims it stops 'em. We're also invaded by boxelder bugs!
Hang in there!

How did I miss this post?

We did not have the ladybugs too badly this year, but we had two or three years in a row of nightmare invasion. They were swarmed all over the house, and got into the house through vents and whatnot, so all over inside windows, etc. I used to love ladybugs, but now I can't even enjoy ladybug stamps & cards. I did make a couple of cards once simply to use the stamps, but oh, it was so bad!!!! Now we just have a few, so it's bearable...
