My dog is sick. He is not bright eyed like he was in this picture. We are headed out to the vet to see if they can figure out what is wrong with him. $$$$

He has a bulging disc and is in a lot of pain. He had xrays and steroids today. Tomorrow we start the anti-inflamitory. I've had back issues before and it's no wonder he's been so miserable. If we can get him to rest for the next few days and he should be as good as new. Now, would someone explain to me how to get a dog to take it easy? It's just like when the kids were little and sick and I was supposed to keep them quiet? As soon as the drug kicks in and the pain is gone temporarily, they don't understand that they can't do anything they want to do?

I hope its not $ to much. I know it can get expensive. We have had our dog for 13 yrs. He was a part of our family and two days ago my husband was backing out of the garage and accidently ran over him. The dog didn't even make a sound, but died. I miss him so much.
OH Patty Jo, that's so sad! you have my sympathy.
Oh my, glad to hear that with medicine and time, he will be back to his old self again, just hope that you don't donate a wing to the vet clinic in fees.
