Thinking of You

Here is a stamp (the saying and the girl are all one stamp) that I haven't played with in a loooong time. I'm sure you recognize my pattern by now ... I use a stamp and then I use and use and over use that stamp. (smile) I didn't start out making these cards for anyone in particular, I just felt like coloring them. I think I'll send one of them to my friend who had a birthday the week we moved. It's waaay to late to extend her celebration, but I can send her a "thinking of you" card because I am--thinking about her that is...

Am I the only one who struggles to get cards mailed? (If not, what is your secret?) I have a whole basket full of cards that I need to mail. I make them and even address the envelopes and then that's where I stop-- until I set aside time, free from distraction to actually write something nice inside. (are you sensing that quiet free from distraction time is rare for me?) Tomorrow morning should be quiet enough for me to write in those cards and get them mailed.

I have a class at Michaels tonight! Cheaper By the Dozen for October. I made a display today at Michaels for my Paper Wallet Class. I'm hoping that will generate enough interest for someone to sign up for that class in November. I'll take a picture of my samples tonight.

Very nice, especially the one with the buttons. If I know who a card is for, I literally follow through to the end: make the card, find their address, sit down and write the message, put the appropriate postage on, mail it. My problem is that not very many cards get made this way. There isn't a "in the zone" time where I make multiple cards. Probably because I have so much too learn so the cardmaking takes so long. Enjoy your quiet time tomorrow.

Love all of the coloring on all of these cards! You are the master at that! Do you use the Gamsol & stumps with your Prismacolors, like so many other people?
I usually have some cards made, but when I need one for someone they are "not quite right" or "not good enough" to send to them and then I need to start over and make a whole new one. That's what sometimes slows me up.

Don't like the Gamsol. It doesn't work for me and it's too much trouble. I'm one of those old dogs who doesn't like new tricks. I tend to do most of my coloring in the car or when I'm relaxing at night. The Odorless mineral spritis would be too messy. I blend with the colorless blender pencil or another lighter color usually white. To get that water color look that you get with Gamsol, I use water color pencils.
